Is The Fast Track the Right Track for Luke Weaver?

I am seriously questioning the decision to start Luke Weaver, in his MLB debut, this Saturday in a 1:20pm (CDT) contest against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. The twenty-two year old right-handed Weaver was the Cardinals first-round draft pick in 2014. Admittedly, Weaver has been extremely effective in the Redbirds minor league system this season. Arguably, he has been extremely fast-tracked, and in my opinion possibly rushed, to make his Saturday debut against the NL Central Division leading Cubs. Breaking News: Nationals Acquire Mark Melancon

The Washington Nationals have acquired closer, Mark Melancon from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for Felipe Rivero and Taylor Hearn. This move bolsters the bullpen for the Nationals, as they acquire a proven closer who will take over for the struggling Jonathan Papelbon. For the Pirates, they trade away their closer in what seems to be to a peculiar trade for them given that they are just three games out of the second wild card spot.
