Tigers Acquire Erick Aybar From Braves

The Tigers added infield help today by trading for Erick Aybar. Aybar’s arrival comes as a result of shortstop Jose Iglesias landing on the DL. Aybar cleared waivers, which made him eligible for an August trade. The Braves will be getting utility man Mike Aviles and catcher Kade Scivicque in return. Angels Move Hector Santiago to Twins and Joe Smith to Cubs

The Angels have parted ways with starting pitcher Hector Santiago and relief pitcher Joe Smith on the final day of trades in the 2016 MLB season. Hector Santiago is off to Minnesota along with relief pitcher Alan Busenitz. The Twins will send two starting pitchers to the Halos: Ricky Nolasco and Alex Meyer. Joe Smith will join a Cubs bullpen to form a dominate 7th, 8th, 9th inning combination with Hector Rondon and recently acquired Aroldis Chapman.
