The Seattle Mariners once again fail to show up when The King, Felix Hernandez, is on the mound. The King was electric to start the first 5 innings striking out a total of 8 to a team that is one of the hardest to strike out in Baseball. I would say Felix earned his 3rd loss of the early season, but that would be incorrect because the Mariners offense was the reason he ended with the loss since they only drove in two hits. The King Moves to a 3-3 record with a 2.47 ERA and finished today’s game with 7.1 innings pitched, 7 hits, 3 earned runs, 2 walks and 9 strike outs.

With tonights loss the Mariners are swept once again at home and move into 2nd place since the Texas Rangers literally beat the Blue Jay’s. The M’s have an off day tomorrow and will travel to Baltimore for a three game series. It should be a good one! Go Mariners!!!!
