Exciting news to wake up to this morning as rumors spread that Adam Lind is heading to Seattle, well after all speculations that rumor is true, as Jerry Dipoto sends three low level prospects to the Brewers for their first baseman Adam Lind. After trading away Mark Trumbo and Logan Morrison, it was clear that the Mariners would be looking for a solid first baseman in the months to come and the Brewers have reportedly said they are looking to trade Adam Lind for prospects.
The Brewers received minor league right handers Daniel Missaki, Carlos Herrera and Freddy Peralta. All three pitchers have a very strong arm and solid location of the strike zone. I’m sure the Brewers will be using these pitchers is the near future as they are in a rebuilding stage. Bringing Lind to Seattle adds some power to the already powerful middle of the line up, having Seager, Cano, Cruz and now Lind. Lind finished his first year with the Brewers with a average of .277, 20 homers and 87 RBI’s. Adam Lind only had one year left on his contract for $8 Million, so he might just be a one year fix type of player, but if Lind plays well I’m sure Dipoto will want to keep his newly received player.
