Tonight, the Rangers have another chance to win the series. It would be special to win it in front of the home fans. Well as for that here are the pitchers who are set to take the mound tonight. The Blue Jays will send the knuckler R.A. Dickey (11-11, 3.91 ERA, 126 K’s) to the mound. The Rangers should be very patient tonight. Dickey picked up the slack in the second half by posting a 8-1 record and a 2.80 ERA in 15 starts. What is weird is that Dickey is old and is making his first ever post season start. Now, the Rangers do not have much of a choice, but they are going to send out Derek Holland (4-3, 4.91 ERA, 41 K’s). Holland has never lost in a playoff game. Holland will look to get revenge on the Toronto hitters. On August 25th, Holland gave up 3 big homers against the Blue Jays. Holland has to keep the Blue Jays under control.

In addition, the Rangers hitters need to remember the phrase that the great Kirby Puckett once said “If it’s low, let it go; if it’s high, let if fly”. So the one Ranger hitter that will remember this phrase tonight will be Mike Napoli. Napoli has faced Dickey numerous times and has a good track record off of him. Napoli is hitting .263 with 1 homer and 5 RBIs in 19 at bats against the knuckler. Napoli will hit a key 3 run homer tonight. Also, there are multiple hitters that have a successful track record on Holland. Names like Edwin Encarnacion and Josh Donaldson. Donaldson will be the one to watch because these two have a history when Donaldson was in Oakland. Donaldson is smoking Holland all over the field. Donaldson has hit an even .300 with 2 homers and 3 RBIs in 20 at bats. Holland has to pitch the clear MVP in Josh Donaldson carefully.

Prediction: Rangers win at home to close out series with a 6-5 victory.
