The Kansas City Royals take game two with a lead off single from Ben Zobrist in the home half of the 7th. The Astros didn’t hesitate to start their offense off early as Colby Rasmus continues to shine this post season. Rasmus had a RBI double in the first inning that score George Springer and Rasmus smashed a solo shot to right center field in the 3rd inning. Rasmus has been lights out during the playoffs getting a homer in all 3 games he has played. The Astros score early but not often in this game as all 4 of their runs came in the first 3 innings
The Royals finally got some hits put together and ended up with a 2 run 6th inning to tie it up and a go ahead single from Zobrist to make it a final of 5-4. With tonight’s win, the Royals become the first home team to win this post season. Pitching on both teams were not that impressive this game and the game total of hits was up to 19 and 7 walks were issued.
With the next game in Houston, the Astros look at Dallas Keuchel to replicate his wild card performance and potentially take the series at home. With George Springer, Jose Altuve and Colby Rasmus hitting the cover off of the ball I don’t think Keuchel will have to worry about lack of run support.
