The Seattle Mariners offense continued to do damage as the M’s take game two and series with the score of 8-3. King Felix (16-8) strikes out 4 through the third only allowing one hit until Mark Canha hits a solo shot to right center field in the bottom of the 4th. King Felix would only allow two more runs from Billy Butler in the 4th to make it a 6-3 game.

Mark Trumbo seems to keep his hitting role by driving in one run after the Seth Smith double to left field. Even though Trumbo was thrown out at second, he has seemed to hit when it counts by batting just under .300 the past week with 3 homers and 6 RBI’s.

Kyle Seager’s bat is still on fire as he smacked another double to right field scoring Shawn O’Malley. In the past two weeks, Seager has hit for 5 home runs, 12 RBI’s with an average of .358, but Seager’s last week has been way above average, hitting 2 homers with 8 RBI’s and 6 extra base hits, bring his weekly average to an amazing .480.

The Mariners are looking at continuing their 4 game winning streak against the Oakland A’s. Even though the M’s have won the series, it is critical that they sweep the A’s and take at least 3 of 4 against the Rangers if they want a chance at the wildcard spot. Let’s just hope Hisashi Iwakuka (6-3) will shut down the A’s and keep this winning streak alive!
