Ruggiano to the Dodgers

Just hours after news broke that Austin Jackson was sent to the Cubs, NBC Sports reported that the Seattle Mariners made another move, sending Justin Ruggiano to the Los Angeles Dodgers for a player to be named or cash. The 33 year old right handed outfielder was only hitting .214 with two home runs and three RBI’s in a total of 81 plate appearance, and was sent to Triple A Tacoma where he seemed to find his bat, hitting .296 with 10 home runs and 29 RBI’s. With Yasiel Puig and Enrique Hernandez on the DL, Ruggiano will add depth with the ability to play all three outfield spots and could be a big help for the Dodgers to keep their first place spot in the NL west during the final month of baseball.
