MLB insider Jon Heyman has confirmed that the Chicago Cubs will receive outfielder Austin Jackson and some cash from the Seattle Mariners for a player to be named and the Cubs final international bonus pool slot. Jackson, who was involved in a three-way trade before the trade deadline in 2014, was a key contributor to the success in the outfield for the Mariners this season. Jackson is batting .272 with 8 homeruns, 36 RBI’s and 15 stolen bases in the 107 games he has played this year with the Seattle Mariners. Jackson, who will be a free agent following this season, will be joining Dexter Flower out in center while Chris Denorfia, Kyle Schwarber and Matt Szczu will be playing left and right field. Reports show that Brad Miller and Ketel Marte will play center field for the final month of the season.
